CEO

Having graduated Summa Cum Laude from the International Academy of Design in Chicago, IL, Jessie fell in love with fashion, design, drape, line, and the foundations of interior space. Honing her talents over time and moving west, she focused on functional creations in custom drapery and window coverings, and Blinds Couture was born. 

As President and Lead Designer, Jessie enthusiastically guides the Blinds Couture team with vision and inspiration. Educating clients in making informed window and wall design decisions are their primary purpose. Together, they marry fashion with function, integrating fabrics and textures to create beauty, privacy, and comfort.

Blinds Couture is headquartered in Colorado and remains home to Jessie and her family. Through collaborative partnerships, raving client referrals, and brand ambassadors, the business continues to expand. As the community teams and their families grow, Jessie remains committed to encouraging a culture of healthy work-life balance for herself, staff, designers, installers, and affiliates.

Susan Rood

Senior Design Associate

Susan comes to us with over 20 years of experience in the fashion retail industry. She has learned that looking our best can make us feel our best. She believes this carries over into our homes as well. Susan is thrilled to be in an industry where she can help others feel their best through creative and thoughtful interior design and window treatment solutions.

Whether in fashion or interior design, she would describe her style as cool, casual Western with a modern twist, and attributes this to her time growing up in Northern California and over 27 years spent in Colorado.

Relationship-building is one of Susan’s greatest abilities and prides herself on using insight and active- listening to identify a client’s needs. She has a proven track-record of building strong relationships in her many leadership positions held and is making these same contributions to the BC team.

Susan is goal-focused and strives to make every interaction and experience a positive one by exceeding expectations.

Kylee Karst

Design Associate

Whether it has been staging homes or decorating for events, Kylee has always had a love for design. Her outgoing personality allows her clients to connect easily and build trust from the beginning.  Through collaboration and conversation, Kylee undoubtedly delivers a high end experience from conception to completion. She loves being in an industry that allows creativity, engagement, problem solving and at the end of the day, joy to all those around her.    

Jaclyn Westland

Design Specialist

With a degree in Mathematical Business and five years working in Global Corporate Finance, Jaclyn's career shift to design specialist may not have been an obvious one, but it was undoubtedly the right one! In her design process, she utilizes her math background and creative instinct to deliver functional, beautiful results. She draws inspiration from her years of living and traveling abroad--marrying contemporary and timeless elements to create a distinctive yet harmonious look.

Her greatest passion in life is human connection. Getting to know her clients and what makes them tick helps her provide genuinely custom design experience. She values each individual's unique style and way of life, which is evident in her work. More important than creating spaces that look their best is making her clients feel their best at home.

Connie Madden

Design Associate

Connie Madden is a resourceful and enterprising woman with an understanding of efficiency, innovation, and creativity in the design industry. Connie lived and experienced most of her background in the Chicagoland area. She recently relocated to the Denver area where she is loving her new adventure. She brings with her extensive experience in client relations, residential & commercial design knowledge and applications.

She has owned her own home design company, providing project management from design to implementation. Prior to that, she worked in remodeling and custom home construction businesses, with roles in Administration, Procurement and Project Design Management for over 20 years.

Connie’s dedication and passion for her work are evident in her impressive career trajectory and her commitment to her clients and projects. Her innovative thinking and dedication to the clients’ inspirations direct her to create finishes that result in the best spaces for living 

Amber Merilatt

Director of Operations

Amber isn't afraid to color outside the lines and is always ready for a challenge. Having learned valuable skills from operating her own small business to real estate and interior design, she brings her experiences together to create flow at Blinds Couture.  Amber is proud to be a part of a company that builds clients for life, and while doing so enhances the form and function of our clients space.

Jamie Wiebalk

Showroom Manager

Jamie takes great pride in keeping an organized and positive atmosphere within the company. Her background in both sales and administrative positions make her a valuable asset to the team. Jamie has two loves in her life, named Gina and Daryl, her adorable Pomeranian and sassy pug. As a native Coloradan, she enjoys the outdoors, snowboard and hiking any chance she gets.

Jennifer Laszlo

Project Admin

Jennifer discovered a passion for business when she first engaged in marketing for IBM. She and her husband then continued the business journey in growing their chiropractic and massage offices to ten locations in the Denver metro area and then launching a wedding business in 2020. Both businesses proved to be industry leaders in Colorado.

Some of her deepest passions in business are building client relationships that flourish for years (decades even!), structural organization, and team leadership. “I look forward to the opportunity to help others live life to the fullest, feeling exceptional and much of that starts right at home!”

Jennifer, and her family, built a new home in 2019 and Blinds Couture was the absolute BEST when it came to service, pricing, quality, communication, knowledge, and staff kindness. She’s been a huge Blinds Couture advocate and being part of the team feels like being at home.

Krista Craft

Sales Support

Krista believes that the little details are of great importance- She  brings that attention to detail to her work at Blinds Couture on a daily basis. Krista is responsible for keeping the showroom running smoothly, managing workroom projects, assisting with installations, and providing support for the design team. Her encouraging and bright demeanor and her ability to juggle all of the comings and goings both in the showroom and with clients make her an essential part of the Blinds Couture team.

Julia Miranda

Executive Assistant

A dedicated professional in business management and marketing, Julia has joined the team saying goodbye to the island life of Hawaii. Julia with highest recognitions graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In completion of her degree she also attained her Business Foundations and Business Specialization Certificate. Julia is recognized for her commitment to ensure efficient operations and strategic planning. Her ability to adapt and manage multiple projects concurrently is a great asset to Jessica and the team. Julia prides herself on her continued passion to learn and her contributions to the success of any organization she is a part of!
