Denver Woman-Owned Business Certification!

Empower The Women Around You.

Jessica Rose Couture and sister company Blinds Couture , a market-leading Denver-based interior decorating firm specializing in window treatments, wall coverings, and fine furnishings, proudly announces that it has earned the Woman-Owned Business Certification from the Denver Office of Economic Development and Opportunity.

Certification Requirements:

  • According to the certification regulations, at least 51% of a company's ownership must be members of historically economically or socially disadvantaged groups, which includes women, Hispanic, Asian, Black, and Native American populations.
  • The Woman-Owned Business certification, which follows a six-month application process, and includes business size and ownership stipulations, affords small businesses the opportunity to compete for government contracts.

In late 2022, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission announced it that, for reasons of safety, corded window coverings could longer be manufactured in the United States, beginning in June 2024. The window coverings industry and consumer demand has been slowly progressing in this direction since the early 2000s, with the advent of cordless blinds, motorized window coverings and smart home technology. With the 2022 announcement, this necessity for progress has dramatically accelerated, and manufacturers are sprinting to catch up.
